The Trade Federation Department of External Affairs today announced the successful completion of two major divestment agreements involving the Naboo System (Chommel Sector) and the Serpine System (I-Sector). These transactions mark a definitive step in a strategic consolidation of Federation assets, designed to eliminate the mounting costs of maintaining systems situated too far from our core territories.
The Federation’s Cabinet has determined that maintaining a presence in these outlier systems is no longer a sound strategy. The Naboo and Serpine systems, while historically significant, sit at a distance that complicates our supply chain and administrative oversight. By offloading these distant territories, the Cabinet is refocusing all resources on the Federation’s Core Territories, ensuring maximum efficiency and defensive protection.
